  • Dip the knife in warm water before slicing so slices are neat and pretty.

FAQs

Can I serve this cheesecake straight from the freezer?

You sure can! It just might be firmer, with a texture like that of ice cream. If it sits at room temperature for just 5-10 minutes, it’ll bring a softer bite.

Can I make a flavored filling?

Only if you’re willing to share! Mix in (or swirl, if you’re able – it’ll make it pretty!) peanut butter, lemon zest, your favorite jam, or melted chocolate to tailor the flavor to your taste.

Does the filling need to set or chill before freezing?

This recipe is magical because it’s SO easy – just assemble and freeze right away, according to the instructions – even the filling. No need to set or chill.

How do I make this look like it’s from a bakery?

My favorite way to do this is to drizzle sauce (chocolate, caramel, or fruit puree (strawberry or raspberry make for a beautiful red) or scoop a fresh berry medley with a dusting of powdered sugar on top. Really, the possibilities are endless!

Could I add a top layer before freezing?

Adding a layer of fruit puree or even chocolate ganache makes this cheesecake next level beautiful and ultra tasty. It freezes beautifully, will cut easily with a slight thaw, and really adds that “wow” factor.
