Pasta is my cheat meal. In fact at times I crave a good pasta dinner. Lasagna has always been a family favorite with insane flavors. But sometimes there just isnt the time or desire to make a lasagna.

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker or Crockpot

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 sweet italian sausage links, casings removed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 45 oz marinara pasta sauce *See the fresh basil pasta sauce recipe for what I use!
  • 16 oz cheese ravioli
  • 4 cup mozerella cheese

Instructions

Directions:

  • Brown ground beef and ground sausage together in large skillet.*If freezing this recipe continue down to freezer directions at this point.
  • Set browned meat into slow cooker, add in all remaining ingredients (except the mozzarella cheese), and gently stir.
  • Cook on low for 3 hours, top lasagna off with mozzarella cheese during the last 30 minutes of cook time.
  • Now its time to sit down and enjoy! (Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley)

Freezer Directions:

  • Set browned meat aside to cool.
  • While meat cools label gallon freezer bag with recipe name, cooking from frozen directions, and expiration date (three months plus today's date).
  • Add all ingredients (except mozzarella) into galloon freezer bag and top off with cooled beef.
  • Remove as much air as possible and seal bag. Freeze for up to three months.

Cooking from Frozen Directions:

  • Can cook from frozen or thaw overnight in fridge.
  • Dump contents of gallon freezer bag into slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 3 hours, top lasagna off with mozzarella cheese during the last 30 minutes of cook time.
  • Now its time to sit down and enjoy! (Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley)
