Delicious and easy freezer apple pie you canmake at home. No prep cooking involved so your apple pie recipe is fresh thefirst time you cook it right out of the freezer.
6-8medium apples of preferencesliced, and peeled (optional)

Freezer Prep Directions
Peel and sliced apples. (Peeling is optional, I usually leave the skin on, this is purely personal preference)
Mix apples, flour, sugar and brown sugar together in a large bowl.
Set pie crust into pie baking dish.
Pour apple filling into pie crust. Sprinkle diced butter on top. Cover with the second pie crust, squeeze edge together to seal pie. Cut 4-6 slits in top crust. Cover with foil, label with cooking directions, and freeze.
Oven Cooking Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
*Remove apple pie from freezer and let sit out to thaw until cook time (1-3 hours).
Uncover pie. Optional: egg wash the crust before setting in the oven, (Egg Wash: Crack an egg, whisk the egg and brush onto top pie crust).
Cook in a preheated oven for 50 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool until ready to serve. Delicious both hot and cold! Don't forget the vanilla ice cream on the side.
A great make-ahead dessert for thanksgiving, any holiday party or a cool fall evening. *You can cook this pie from frozen, however if you are using a glass pie dish it is not recomended to go straight from the freezer to the oven as your dish may crack.
