Pour 1 tbsp. oil into stovetop pan over med-high heat (Be sure the pan you choose have a lid, you will need this later on)
As oil heats up add in 1 tbsp. butter and in 3 or 4 popcorn kernels.
Wait for popcorn kernels in oil/butter to pop the pour in the rest of the kernels and set lid on pan.
Remove from heat with lid for 30 seconds (Do not turn off stovetop)
Set pan back onto heat and shake back and forth until the popping slows down to (3 or 4 seconds between pops) TIP: lift an edge of the lid as you pop for crispier popcorn
Pour into a bowl, sprinkle with salt if desired and enjoy!
Optional: For extra buttery popcorn melt 1 tbsp. in pan and pour over popped popcorn, then mix in with salt.
