Simple Homemade Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
 
 
  • 5 potatoes
  • 8 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
 
Directions:
  • Fill a 12-quart stock pot a little more then halfway with water and bring to a boil (Be sure to salt the water)
  • While waiting for water to boil peel and cube potatoes
  • When water is boiling set in potatoes and boil for 15-20 minutes (or until potatoes fall apart when poked with a fork)
  • Drain potatoes when cooked and put into a large mixing bowl, combine with milk and butter and mash together (You may need to add more milk depending on potato size, add 1/4 cup at a time and stir until desired consistency is reached)
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
