Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes
Freezer mashed potatoes are so easy to make. Youwill get the perfect texture to a creamy homemade mashed potato every time.

- 6 large russet potatoes
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup almond milk
Freezer Prep Directions:Prepare a gallon freezer bag, labeling according to your preferred method.
Add all ingredients, except almond milk, to labeled gallon freezer bag.
Seal bag, removing as much air as possible, and freeze for up to three months.
Slow Cooker Directions:No need to thaw this recipe. Dump contents of gallon freezer bag into slow cooker.
Dump contents of the freezer bag into a slow cooker.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
After cooking, mash potatoes and stir in almond milk until the desired texture is reached.
Season with salt and pepper to desired taste.
Instant Pot Directions
- Dump the contents of the freezer bag into the Instant Pot, add 1/2 cup water.
- Set to High Pressure for 10 minutes, followed by a quick release.
- After cooking, dump everything into a large mixing bowl, mash potatoes and stir in almond milk until the desired texture is reached.
- Season with salt and pepper to desired taste.

- Replace butter with a vegan butter or olive oil
