Method #1: Freeze Avocados Whole
Wrap avocados in plastic wrap to lock in some freshness.
Place wrapped avocados into labeled ziplock freezer bag.
Seal bag, removing as much air as possible, and store in freezer for 3-6 months.
Method #2: Freeze Avocado Halves
Cup avocados in halves. (You can leave the pit or remove it, up to you)
Brush each half with lemon juice to prevent browning on avocados.
Wrap avocado halves in plastic wrap to lock in some freshness.
Place wrapped avocados into labeled ziplock freezer bags.
Seal bag, removing as much air as possible, and store in freezer for 3-6 months.
Method #3: Freeze Avocados Sliced/Diced
Cut avocado up into preferred size. You can slice or dice the avocado.
Mix in some lemon juice with your avocado slices.
Cover a baking sheet (with a lip) with parchment paper and place your avocado slices onto baking sheet.
Freeze avocado slices for 1-2 hours.
Transfer frozen avocado slices into a freezer bag. Once avocado slices are in a freezer bag remove as much air as possible and seal.
Method #4: Freeze Avocado Mash
Cut up fresh ripe avocado and place into a bowl. (Make sure your avocados are very ripe if using this method.)
Mash avocado with a fork or in a food processor.
Store portioned out avocado mash in quart sized freezer bags, TIP: you can even freeze in silicone trays for smaller portions of avocado mash.
