Buffalo Wings Whole 30 Freezer Meal Recipe

Ingredients
 
 
  • 5 lbs chicken wings fresh or frozen
Buffalo Sauce (Blend Together):
  • 1 cup Frank's hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried dill
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
Instructions
 
Freezer Prep Directions
  • Prepare a gallon freezer bag, labeling according to your preferred method.
  • Blend buffalo sauce ingredients together in a high speed blender or food processor.
  • Add 1/3 cup buffalo sauce to a small (quart or snack) freezer bag, then place sauce packet into a second (quart or snack) freezer bag.
  • Place wings into a 2-gallon freezer bag.
  • Pour the remaining sauce into the 2-gallon freezer bag and shake to coat the chicken.
  • Add sauce packet into the 2-gallon freezer bag and seal. Removing as much air as possible, then freeze.
Slow Cooker Directions
  • Thaw freezer bag in fridge 12-24 hours before cooking.
  • Place wings in a 6 quart slow cooker, removing the sauce packet from the quart freezer bag and set aside.
  • Cook on high for 2 1/2 - 3 hours.
  • Once cooked, and the wings have reached and internal temp of 165F, remove them from the slow cooker and place them on a foil-lined pan (discard liquid).
  • Set your broiler to high. Brush wings with half the set aside sauce and broil until lightly browned/crispy (about 3-5 minutes). Flip the wings and repeat on the other side.
  • Serve with celery and carrots. (Optional: Whole 30 Ranch)
Instant Pot Directions
  1. Dump the contents of the freezer bag into the Instant Pot, add 1/2 cup water.
  2. Set to High Pressure for 10 minutes, followed by a quick release. 
  3. Once cooked, and the wings have reached and internal temp of 165F, remove them from the slow cooker and place them on a foil-lined pan (discard liquid).
  4. Set your broiler to high. Brush wings with half the set aside sauce and broil until lightly browned/crispy (about 3-5 minutes). Flip the wings and repeat on the other side.
  5. Serve with celery and carrots. (Optional: Whole 30 Ranch)
