Bolognese Sauce Freezer Recipe
Our recipe follows the traditional way of bolognese with ground beef, aromatics like carrots, celery, onion, and garlic, crushed tomatoes, and the perfect combination of herbs. Its hearty, nutritious, and encompasses all the classic flavors of Italian cuisine.

1 gallon freezer bag
1 Slow Cooker
2 lbs Ground beef 1 Carrot finely chopped 1 Celery stalk finely chopped 1/2 Onion finely chopped 1 1/2 tsp Garlic 1/2 cup Broth ensure Gluten free 1/2 tsp Sage 1/2 tsp Oregano 1/2 tsp Thyme 1 Bay leaf 1/2 tsp Rosemary 1 tbsp Salt 1 tsp Black pepper Day of Cooking: 28 oz Crushed tomatoes can For Serving: 1 lb Pasta of choice Gluten Free ( our favorites are brown rice and red lentil GF pasta's)

Prep/Freezer Directions: Prepare a gallon freezer bag, labeling according to your preferred method.
Add all ingredients, except the day of cooking and serving ingredients, to the freezer bag.
Seal bag, removing as much air as possible, and freeze for up to three months.
Slow Cooker Directions Thaw freezer bag in fridge for 12-24 hours before cooking.
Dump the contents of the freezer bag into a slow cooker, add 1 (28oz) can crushed tomatoes. (Do not stir)
Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
Break apart beef, stir and serve over gluten free pasta of choice.
