Carne en Su Jugo Freezer Meal Recipe
Packed with flavor, this Carne en Su Jugo will tantalize your taste buds. With crispy bacon, and spices that simmer in your mouth, this Mexican soup will leave you wanting every drop in your bowl.   • 1 gallon freezer bag
  • 1 Slow Cooker
Ingredients
  
  • 2-3 lbs Beef chuck roast Cut into 2-3 inch chunks
  • 1/2 lb Bacon Cooked and chopped
  • 14.5 oz Pinto beans can, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup Onion diced
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 cup Beef broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
Serve with:
  • 6-8 Tortillas
  • 1/2 Medium white onion diced
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro diced
  • 1 cup Radishes thinly sliced
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • Extra bacon cooked/chopped
  • Your favorite taco toppings Optional
Instructions
 
Prep Directions:
  • Prepare a gallon freezer bag, labeling according to your preferred method.
  • Add all ingredients, except for serve with ingredients, to the freezer bag. 
  • Seal bag, removing as much air as possible, and freeze for up to three months. 
Slow Cooker | Cooking Directions
  • Thaw freezer bag in fridge 12-24 hours before cooking.
  • Dump contents of the freezer bag into the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  • Shred/break apart beef and serve in tortillas with cheese. 
  • Optional: Top with your favorite taco toppings.
