Curry Lentil Soup

  • 1 gallon freezer bag


  • 2 cans Chick Peas 14.5 oz
  • 1 cup Green Lentils
  • 1 can Full Fat Coconut Milk 14.5 oz
  • 1 cup Onion diced
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Celery Seed
  • 2 cups Spinach
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Ground Turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala
  • 2 cups carrots shredded
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper diced


Freezer Directions

  • Label a gallon freezer bag with recipe name 
    and cooking directions. 
  • Add all ingredients, except the broth and 
    coconut milk, into a labeled gallon freezer bag. 
  • Seal bag, removing as much air as 
    possible, and freeze for up to three months. 

Cooking Instructions

  • Thaw overnight in the fridge or in the 
    morning in water (meal may not be 100% thawed 
    but that is ok). 
  • Dump contents of the freezer bag into the 
    slow cooker, add coconut milk and broth into the 
    slow cooker, and stir. 
  • Cook on low 6-8 hours or high 3-4 hours.
  • Stir in spinach and serve
