How to reheat and store Chicken Pot Pie leftovers

Best way to store Chicken Pot Pie Whole 30 leftovers?

Preserving the taste and quality of your Chicken Pot Pie leftovers requires proper storage techniques. Start by allowing your leftovers to cool to room temperature within two hours on the kitchen counter. Once they have cooled sufficiently, transfer them into airtight containers or resealable plastic bags, minimizing the presence of air to prevent freezer burn and spoilage. Labeling the containers with the date is crucial for tracking freshness. If you intend to store them for a more extended period, opt for the freezer. Frozen leftovers can maintain their quality and flavor for several months. Utilizing this method ensures you can enjoy your favorite meals conveniently and reduce food waste.

How long will Whole 30 Chicken Pot Pie last in the fridge?

With the proper cooling procedures being followed, and the right containers or bags being used for storage, your leftovers will remain fresh in the fridge for 3 to 5 days. Remember to always perform sniff tests to check to see if your food has spoiled in the process of storage.

Can I freeze Chicken Pot Pie?

We recommend preparing this as a raw freezer meal, and then perform the cooking. To make this into a raw freezer meal, label a gallon freezer bag with cooking directions and date, then add all ingredients except the broth and water into the labeled freezer bag. Then, remove as much air as possible from your bag, seal and freeze for up to 3 months.

How to reheat Chicken Pot Pie leftovers?

This soup is best reheated on the stovetop or in the microwave. If you are preparing to use the microwave, make sure to use a microwave safe plate, with the desired amount. Reheat in intervals of 30-60 seconds, and stir in between each interval. Make sure that your foot has reached a temperature of 165 degrees. When using the stovetop to prepare your leftovers, put your stovetop on medium heat, place desired amount of soup in a saucepan. You may want to add a splash of chicken broth to prevent sticking during your reheating process. Stir occasionally until your desired temperature is reached.
