  • 1 Slow Cooker
  • 1 High-speed blender/Immersion blender
Ingredients
  
  • 4 Russet potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1 Yellow onion diced
  • 1 1/2 cups Carrots shredded
  • 3 ribs Celery diced
  • 12-16 oz Ham steak cubed
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 cups Water
Instructions
 
Prep/Freezer Directions
  • Prepare a gallon freezer bag, labeling according to your preferred method.
  • Add all ingredients, except broth and water, to the freezer bag.
  • Store in the freezer for up to three months.
Slow Cooker Directions:
  • Thaw overnight in the fridge or in the morning in water ( meal may not be 100% thawed but that is okay)
  • Dump the contents of the freezer bag into a slow cooker. Add 2 cups of water and 2 cups of chicken broth.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Remove bay leaves. blend half of the mixture in a high-speed blender or with an immersion blender, then stir back into the slow cooker. Serve and enjoy!
